CURRENT STATUS

AVB plans to build 40 single-family homes in a 31-acre filed on the Southwest shore of Eagle Lake, on the corner of West PQ Avenue and South 4th Street. Nine of the homes will sit on lakefront lots.

Plats are reviewed in three stages: Preliminary Plat for tentative approval, Preliminary Plat for final approval, and Final Plat.

  • The Preliminary Plat for tenative approval was approved by the Township Board on July 10, 2023.

  • The Preliminary Plat for final approval was approved by the Township Board on September 23, 2024.

  • The Preliminary Plat for final approval is not currently scheduled.

Below is an update on the various additional levels of review and where those are at in the status: 

  • Engineering - sewer and water has not received final approval.

  • EGLE- July 2, 2024- Conditional Preliminary Plat approval- this is not a permit

  • Drain Commissioner- November 4, 2024- Final Preliminary Plat approval

  • Road Commission - June 24, 2024- Preliminary Plat approval

  • Kal County Health Department- November 2024- Preliminary approval with conditions.
